Faith, beyond the confines of logic

Faith is the opposite of fear. When we acquire it, we open up, we venture into unfamiliar territories knowing fully well that everything is going to work out.
Armed with faith, our brain relaxes. We scoff at hurdles and looking straight ahead, we walk with ease through the whirlpool of life, knowing that no matter what happens we will prevail with a persisting spirit.
In comfortable circumstances, we endlessly analyse, we second-guess and we get lost in a sea of conjectures.
When survival is in jeopardy, the luxury of overthinking disappears. We shift to an instinctive, faith-based state of being.
When our options are limited and our back is against the wall, our primal self takes over.
We get a glimpse of the effect of faith when conditions are hard.
When we start acting in faith instead of wallowing in the maze of our dark thoughts, we relax and accept our fate.
Doing that put our mind in a tranquil state that allows it to work optimally to find solutions.
When we let go of our coping mechanisms, the energy spent protecting possesions and achievement or worrying about losing them becomes available to us.
When we truly accept our situation rather than fighting against it, our stress response dwindles and our resistance starts to subside.
Our creative problem-solving starts to operate unhindered by our logical and energy-draining thrashings.
Faith isn't necessarily religious. It's an unwavering trust that solutions exist. It gives us permission to take action without knowing the outcome.
Faith becomes a way of moving forward beyond the circumscribed confines of logical thinking where
reason fails miserably.
