Empathy and its advantages

If you were to ask any high achieving entrepreneur about the main ingredient for their success, the answer would be unanimous, the ability to serve people.
They have devised a service or a product that people needed and were willing to pay for.
Empathy is the ability to feel what people are going through and to be able to identify with their needs, aches and worries.
It takes social skills and a keen sense of observation to achieve that.
When our focus is directed outside, away from us, we listen and try to understand instead of judging or looking at other’s situation through the prism of our own paradigms.
When we set our ego aside, our attention gets diverted away from the self.
We are not blinded by our urge to be right or to win an argument, our reactions are more sensible and appropriate to the situation at hand.
As we push past our pride and our desire to be noticed and approved, our self-worth is not derived from people opinions anymore.
We start to feel free, we talk less and listen more, we give more and take less.
Victories at the expence of others gives us an addictive, short-lived feeling of superiority.
True service embodies a mindset that prioritizes people's wellbeing.
When we serve, we contribute our unique abilities, toward meeting another's needs. This orientation shifts focus from self to other, creating space for genuine connection and business opportunities.
